Alaska Airlines Introduces Custom Beer
Alaska Airlines is now serving their first-ever custom craft beer. Alaska Airlines has been a leader of using west coast brands on their flights throughout North America. Long time flyers might remember Seattle Based Jones Soda on board instead of coke product like the other carriers. Alaska Airlines also partners locally for everything from Portland based Salt & Straw Ice cream in first class to Seattle’s famous Beecher’s cheese in the airlines famous and highly sought after cheese platters. Now the airline is expanding their partnership with Seattle-based Fremont Brewing to bring customers a fresh and crisp custom made beer to the skies.
Alaska Airlines has been working with Freemont Brewing to bring customers Alaska’s newest IPA. The delicious cloud cruising IPA is available on all flights. I write this post while I drink one myself! The custom made beer is offered complimentary in First and Premium Class. As a 100K I am sitting in Premium economy (no upgrade for me) and am really enjoying this new beer! The bees is available purchase in the Main Cabin and it’s also served in select Lounges. Such as Seattle.
What makes this beer extra unique is that Cloud Cruiser IPA is replacing the Freemont Lush IPA. A beloved beer that is easily found across Seattle and brewed by Freemont Brewing too. Plus this beer was brewed for Alaska Airlines, only offered by Alaska Airlines, and even features Alaska Airlines on the can.
‘Cloud Cruiser’ IPA is brewed with a select blend of malts and Washington grown to stay fresh in the air with you,” said Matt Lincecum, Fremont Brewing’s Founder and Owner. “Fremont craft ‘Cloud Cruiser’ using years of experience providing beer to Alaska’s flights across the country. Brewed Fresh to be Brought Fresh to you. Because Fresh Beer Matters!”
The uniquely designed can showcases an Alaska Airlines 737-8 MAX soaring among the clouds above a retro-inspired backdrop of snow-capped mountains, trees and water synonymous with Washington state.
Alaska and Fremont creative artists worked collaboratively from brainstorming ideas for the co-branded can to the final drawing board.
Honestly I am a big fan of this crisp IPA. Great job Alaska Airlines and Freemont Brewery for creating this awesome beverage for your guests to enjoy. I hope this IPA isn’t seasonal. I’d be happy to drink this custom made IPA for the years to come.
