Something has quietly changed in the way people book a trip.
Ten years ago the hotel room was king. You chose somewhere to stay, researched somewhere to sleep, booked yourself into a hotel with two beds and an intermittently functioning kettle. Sorted.
Not anymore.
Customers are rejecting hotel rooms by the thousands and renting private residences instead. Price isn't the only reason why.
